Living in Howell, Michigan, gives many opportunities to see hot air balloons. But these were the extreme of seeing hot air balloons. These pictures were taken from our deck. We were able to talk to the people that were floating in the baskets. One of our dachshunds, Pal Pal, was going nuts. When I created these pages, I wanted to keep it simple with some creativity, but all the focus to be on the pictures.
I used Scenic Route papers for a simple colorful design for the layout itself. I choose not to mat the photos but simple sand the edge to make the stand out on their own.
The hot air balloon and adventure saying are from Unity Stamp Company. The balloon is colored in using Copic Markers. Each stamped image is matted on light blue cardstock and the balloon is pop dotted up for added emphasis.
To bring a tiny bit of bling to this project, I used American Crafts Foam Thickers with glitter alphabet stickers for my title. I am in love with foam sticker alphabets. I don't know why, but it maybe that I get dimension without weight added to the page. And you can see to the top of the title area, I tore the top of the paper for a little bit more dimension.
