Growing in Unity Friday - Wish Big

I cannot believe that this is my last entry of my Growing in Unity Week. It has been such fun showing you my projects that I made for this week. This layout is one of my favorites. It features Lady Lu, our other dachshund baby. This is from her birthday celebration in February. Every year, or anytime it is one of the puppies' birthdays, it is time for cupcakes. And let me tell you, it is always a fun time. Lady Lu tries to stick to her name and be a lady when it comes to eating her cupcake. But her brother, Pal Pal, is a whole another story. He usually eats his in one bite. So you need to be quick with the camera. With Lady Lu, as you can see, you can at least get a few good pictures and sing Happy Birthday to her.

I created this page using my Uniquely Unity kit from Archiver's. I used 12x12 kraft paper for the background paper and stamped half of it using Memento Rich Cocoa ink. All of my photographs I printed on french vanilla cardstock and distressed the edges with an edge distresser. For all of the patterned paper, I inked the edges with Color Box Chalk Ink Chestnut Roan to add a softness to the edges.

The title area - collage area - is a place where I had a lot of fun with this page. The flower buttons - I used the flower button punch from Epiphany Crafts...Love it! The portion of title BIG is cut out using QuicKutz Diesel alphabet die cuts. The rose stamp - colored with Copic markers and then Glimmer Mist'ed. The little February calendar is from actual patterned paper from the kit. And the Wish tag is from my stash.

A face only a Momma could love - Yummy Cupcake face!

Supplies used for this page: Memento Dye Ink - Rich Cocoa; Epiphany Crafts - Flower Button Punch; Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist - Pearl; Color Box Chalk Ink - Chestnut Roan; Unity Stamp Company - Uniquely Unity; QuicKutz - Diesel Alphabet (not shown)

Copic markers used: R02 - Flesh, R05 - Salmon Red, R08 - Vermillion, YG91 - Putty, YG93 - Grayish Yellow, YG95 - Pale Olive, and YG97 - Spanish Olive

Growing in Unity Thursday - My Story...Happy Family

A few weeks ago, I started creating an album called My Story. An simple album that contained my story, what it is to be me, what steps I have taken in my life to get where I am, and what people I have loved and met along the way. This next installment into My Story is Happy Family. I was very excited when I found the Authentique Paper - Collection Blissful in my local scrapbook store. Then to read what the die cuts said on them, made me about cry in the store. "A {happy} family is but an earlier Heaven." - George Bernard Shaw.

To create the flowers, I used the {ippity} stamp set Flowers + Friends = Priceless, and stamped them using Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the yellow cardstock. Then with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, I sprayed the flowers to give them sparkle. And to finish off the flowers, I added a rhinestone to the center of each.

Close up to see Glimmer Mist.

Supplies Used to create this page: {ippity} stamps: Flowers + Friends = Priceless; Memento Ink - Tuxedo Black; Versa Magic Chalk Ink - Niagara Mist; EK Success - Scallop Border Punch; Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist - Flower Power & Wheatfields

Growing in Unity Tuesday - Flowers and Argyle

Growing in Unity Tuesday time, I was so excited when I found this beautiful collection of paper at my local store. Authentique Paper - Collection Blissful. I am so in love. The paper is amazing to work with and its easy to find coordinating card stocks to go with it. I knew when I found this line I had two projects in mind for it. The other one you will see later this week. This is the first - a simple note card.

I created the flower using the {ippity} stamps set, Now & Always, and layered the set up. First I stamped the image using Memento Tuxedo Black, then I colored it in with Copic marker Y21. To finish the look, I sprayed each layer of the flower with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Wheatfields.

Supplies used to complete this card: {ippity} stamp - Now & Always; Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist - Wheatfields; Copic markers - Y21; Versa Magic Chalk Ink - Wheat; and Memento Ink - Tuxedo Black

Don't forget to comment for a chance to win one of the stamps mentioned in my Sunday's blog post.

Growing in Unity Monday - Daddy & Me

To start off my Growing In Unity Gal Week, I'm featuring one of my two babies, Pal Pal. He is our male dachshund who has tons of personality and a huge vocabulary. There are so many words Doug and I have learned that we cannot say or even spell in front of Pal Pal because he knows whatever we are saying. This layout is all about the relationship he has with his daddy.
This is an up close shot of the Tail Wagger stamp from Unity Stamp. I stamped the image onto watercolor paper and colored the image in using Copic markers.

Detail Ribbon shot.

Chipboard accents that I adhered coordinating stickers onto.

Detail shot of the title. Chipboard letters for the title.

Inks and stamp used for the pages.

Copic markers used to color Tail Wagger - B37 - Antwerp Blue, YR18 - Sanguine, R27 - Cadmium Red, and BG11 - Moon White
