I cannot believe that this is my last entry of my Growing in Unity Week. It has been such fun showing you my projects that I made for this week. This layout is one of my favorites. It features Lady Lu, our other dachshund baby. This is from her birthday celebration in February. Every year, or anytime it is one of the puppies' birthdays, it is time for cupcakes. And let me tell you, it is always a fun time. Lady Lu tries to stick to her name and be a lady when it comes to eating her cupcake. But her brother, Pal Pal, is a whole another story. He usually eats his in one bite. So you need to be quick with the camera. With Lady Lu, as you can see, you can at least get a few good pictures and sing Happy Birthday to her.
I created this page using my Uniquely Unity kit from Archiver's. I used 12x12 kraft paper for the background paper and stamped half of it using Memento Rich Cocoa ink. All of my photographs I printed on french vanilla cardstock and distressed the edges with an edge distresser. For all of the patterned paper, I inked the edges with Color Box Chalk Ink Chestnut Roan to add a softness to the edges.
The title area - collage area - is a place where I had a lot of fun with this page. The flower buttons - I used the flower button punch from Epiphany Crafts...Love it! The portion of title BIG is cut out using QuicKutz Diesel alphabet die cuts. The rose stamp - colored with Copic markers and then Glimmer Mist'ed. The little February calendar is from actual patterned paper from the kit. And the Wish tag is from my stash.
A face only a Momma could love - Yummy Cupcake face!
