Happy Holidays

Country Christmases are celebrated all throughout the United States. Expressing it in a card, can be a little be more difficult.

I choose to take a stab at it by using Gingham Christmas Greetings as my stamp set and green, red, and cream papers. The paper the stamped images are mounted to features a green gingham background to add to the depth of the stamps.

Adding a softness with chalk ink to add to the depth of this card.

You can see in this close up shot that the paper is all layered upon each other.

One more card coming at you tomorrow!

Merry and Holly

Traditionally,we see red and green representing Christmas cards. This card is no exception, except it brings in the element of black and a whole lot of white.

This card features the stamp set, Season of Joy.

In the up close shot, you can see that a whole lot of hand cutting went on. The saying is stamped inside another stamp and then the holly is stamped and then cut out as well. Spring loaded scissors were my friend when I was creating this card.

See you tomorrow with another creation.

Merry Kissmas

Time for more holiday cheer! Soft greens, evergreens, and splashes of red keep this card elegant.

This card was created using Kissmas & Mistletoe as well.

To add softness to the cream cardstock, the edges were inked with chalk ink. The Christmas tree's poinsettia was colored in using Copic markers.

Same with the Merry Kissmas saying, the heart was colored with a Copic marker.

Hope you are enjoying peeking at some of my creations as much as I had making them.

See you again!

The new stamps are Oh, so cute!. I had such a fun time creating the card that I am featuring today. But first, lets look at the new stamps.

I decided to use Your Friendship, My Cup of Tea. This little birdie is so cute. I gave it a loving twist that could be used to brighten a loved one's day or for a Valentine card.

{ippity} Thanks(giving) Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the thanks(giving) blog hop with a few {ippity} chicks!!  Thanksgiving is a great time of year...it usually marks the beginning of the holiday season.  It's also a time to think about all we are thankful for. What a great time to have a blog hop centered around giving thanks and thanksgiving!

So pull up a chair, grab your favorite beverage, and hop through the blogs!

I am giving away some {ippity} goodness to a random peep, so don't forget to leave a comment (winner will be picked on 11/25!).  Some of the other chicks are also giving away blog candy, too, so comment along the hop!!  Happy Hopping!!!

My project is a mini acrylic tag album. I created this album to carry with me as a symbol of my gratitude and thankfulness. Loads of pictures to show you all the details.

I used the following {ippity} stamps for this project: Season of Joy; A Moment in Time; Here and Now; Straight from the Heart; Loads of Love; Love in Return; and The Simple Things.

November Release Day!!!!

So very excited for this release! So without further ado,

Pain and Pride - so very cute

Warm Wishes - hello winter wonderland
Find us under New Releases to take us home

Card using Pain and Pride: I wanted a clean look to feature the adorable penguin on skis. Of course, there was a load of Copic markers used to create this little guy, but it was way fun.

Up close and personal to the Mr. Skiing Penguin

Card using Warm Wishes: I pulled out the embossing gun (a tool that I have not had out in a while) for this card. To add some more elegance to the flourish, I added pearls to the centers of all the snowflakes. I love using Memento ink pads - they stamp clean and crisp. I have had the London Fog color for a while now. I bought it thinking it was gray. It is really a blue gray but, works wonder for tone on tone looks with this color range.

Detail shot of the flourish and saying

Remember, there is always free shipping on all orders. And all orders receive a grab bag stamp and a handmade card added to the order. So have fun shopping for {ippity} stamps.

Enjoy!

It is often the Bend...

It is often the bends in the road that teach us how to live our lives. Funny how a car stamp and saying make me look at life. October is here and gone and now we are into November. How time slips away sometimes. I say goodbye to October with a cold that is still hanging on and memories that I wish that I did not have from this month. But I have learned that God does not protect us from what will perfect us. Certainly when I made this card, I did not think it would be a life lesson, but sometimes the simplest things come from the things and people we love.

Onto the card: I used some burlap like ribbon, Tim Holtz patterned paper, and Authentic Man stamp set from Ippity.

Love that is needed...

Life throws curve balls at us all the time. Mine was thrown at me on October 8th. My sweet Joey went to be with Jesus. Joey was a very special boy that showed love like no one could ever do. Joey always saw the good in everything. I will miss him dearly but will wait for my time to be with him again.

Family isn't about whose blood you have. It's about who you care about.

Till we meet again...I love you Baby Boy!

With everything that has happen in the last two weeks, it just shows how important family and friends are. How appropriate to use time for...friends & wine for some family love for this card.

Using Copic markers, I colored each of the girls hair and skin and simply colored the heart on each girl. I wanted the heart to stand out and be the focus of each girl.

 Copic markers used: E07 - Light Mahogany; E30 - Bisque; E49 - Dark Bark; E57 - Light Walnut;
RV06 - Cerise; and Y21 - Buttercup Yellow

Thank you for taking a look
