Easter Greetings

Well I must say that this year I certainly procrastinated on getting my Easter cards made. It is Wednesday before the holiday and I just finished addressing the last one. They are on their way to the mailbox and will be in the postal workers hands tomorrow.

This little bunny was the reason why I fell in love with this stamp set and paper from WeR. I stamped the image using Memento Rich Cocoa ink and highlighted the features of the bunny with Copic marker, Warm Gray W1. To add some more color, I lightly spritzed the stamped image with Moonlight Glimmer Mist. I tattered the edges of all the paper with an edge distresser. And topped the look off with  a flower, button, and ribbon.

Have a wonderful and blessed Easter!

Time away....

I have been away for a while now, but I wanted to drop a little note. I have some great blog posting planned for the future. A visit into my studio again - always making improvements and these are big ones. Tons of cards and scrapbook pages on the way too. And tons of other crafty things. So I will see you soon...

Growing in Unity Friday...Feel the Joy

Feel the Joy...

This is one of those cards that by picking glittery papers, it makes it look like it took a long time to make, but don't be fooled. The longest time spent was prepping the paper to the right size and border punching the polka dot piece. I love when I can fly through a few cards and have a finished project in a few minutes. Even though I love my Copic markers, sometimes I have to do simpler.

Feel the Joy stamp is one of those stamps that looks so beautiful to me with very little effort.

I created the card on kraft paper. I used six patterned paper and the image is stamped on watercolor paper. The polka dot paper and stamped image are pop dotted up for depth. And of course, I had to add some ribbon for texture.

Growing in Unity Thursday...Sew Thankful for all You do

So for Thursday, I am Sew Thankful for all You do.

Whenever I color an image with Copic markers, I take the color inspiration from the patterned paper that I am using. So out comes the color chart that I printed on watercolor paper and have hand colored with my markers. It is the most helpful tool that I use.

This stamp set from Unity Stamp Co. is one of my very favorites. The set has tons of stamps and possibilities.

Growing in Unity Wednesday...Thinking of You

Thinking of You on this Wednesday.
And Sending My Love (from Unity Stamp Co. UK-427A) to you too.

Copic markers, chalk ink, sander, and a diecut, oh my! When you grab a bunch of tools, you never know what you will create. I do know that when I pull out the Copic markers, I am going to have a blast. I love to color ever since I was a little girl. So I always look for an excuse to pull them out.

This is what I created this time around.

Growing in Unity Tuesday...A Basket full of Wishes

A Basket full of Wishes became a bunch of birthday cards in four colors. I love how the stamp coordinates with the paper. So love Jillibean Soup and Unity Stamp Co.

I was extremely anal to match up the colors of the paper to my Copic markers. To the basket of flowers to the bicycle color and to the tires on the bicycle.

I distress edged the stamped image and chalk inked the patterned paper.
